WooCommerce Shipit – Guide

1. Installation

The plugin is installed just like any other WordPress plugin.

1. Download the plugin zip file (wc-shipit.zip) from the order confirmation email
2. Go to Plugins > Add new > Upload Plugin
3. Select the plugin zip file and click Install Now
4. Once the plugin has been installed, click Activate Plugin

2. Settings

Settings are located at WooCommerce > Settings > Shipit.

1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Shipit
2. Enter the following settings:
   1. Mode
      1. Test or production. In test mode credentials are fixed and cannot be changed
   2. API Key and Secret
      1. API credentials which you will get by logging into your Shipit account
   3. Add tracking link to the order completed email
      1. Should the tracking link be added to the Order completed email
   4. Send Shipit notification to customer
      1. Should Shipit send the tracking information directly to the customer
   5. Package contents
      1. Description about the package contents, e.g. electronics or clothing
   6. Sender
      1. Name, address and other information about the sender
3. Click Save changes

3. Shipping methods

Shipping methods are created using WooCommerce’s shipping zones and shipping methods. This allows you to flexibly create shipping methods according to your needs.

1. Go to WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping
2. Create a shipping zone, e.g. Finland
3. Open the shipping zone and click Add shipping method
4. Select Shipit as the shipping method type
5. Enter name of the shipping method (e.g. PostNord MyPack Collect), price and other details and click Save

Create all necessary shipping methods (e.g. PostNord MyPack Collect, PostNord MyPack Home) by following steps 1 – 5.

4. Shipping labels

Shipping labels can be created in two ways, for each order individually or for multiple orders in bulk.

For each order individually:

1. Go to WooCommerce > Orders and select an order
2. Select shipping method and enter dimensions to the Shipit box
3. Click Create
   1. The plugin will send the information to Shipit and create a shipping label that can be printed

For multiple orders in bulk:

With bulk function you can create multiple shipping labels at once which makes order processing more efficient.

1. Go to WooCommerce > Orders
2. Select orders which you want to create shipping labels for
3. Under Bulk actions, select Create Shipit shipping labels
4. Enter shipping method and other details for the shipment 
5. Click Create shipping labels
6. Click Print shipping labels once the process has completed
